Pak Chan

For more than a decade, Pak Chan has quietly documented the people and places that give Liverpool its character.

Since joining The Sound Agents as a volunteer in 2013, he has become an integral part of the team's heritage work, contributing as a photographer, researcher and passionate advocate for local history. His work reflects a belief that communities are best understood through the everyday moments that often pass unnoticed.

Armed with a camera and an eye for detail, Pak has built an extensive photographic archive capturing Liverpool's changing streets, neighbourhoods and cultural life. His images preserve more than buildings and events. They record the relationships, traditions and identities that define the city.

Alongside his photography, Pak supports historical research across a wide range of community projects, helping uncover overlooked stories and ensuring local memories are carefully documented for future generations. His work often brings together photographs, personal accounts and historical records to create a richer understanding of Liverpool's diverse communities.

His contribution has become an important part of The Sound Agents' mission to preserve living history. Through patient observation and thoughtful documentation, Pak continues to build a visual record that will remain valuable long after today's moments have become tomorrow's history.
